The JLPT: Points and Practice series is a collection of questions and pointers to help the learner acquire the minimum skills required to pass the JLPT exam in a short period of time. In this book the learner will study N5-level grammar questions. The aim is for the learner, while solving the questions, to efficiently understand about 90 grammar items that are essential for passing the exam.

The book is divided into two parts: “Questions Part” and “List Part.” In the “Questions Part,” the learner will learn how to solve questions presented in the exam format and check if they understand them. Each question comes with an explanation that provides the basis for the answer (published in a separate volume).

The material in the List Part corresponds to the presentation of material in the Questions Part and provides the minimum number of grammatical meanings, grammatical connections, and example sentences that the learner should know and be aware of to pass the exam.

While getting used to how to solve exam questions, the learner can organize their N5 level grammar knowledge, making it an effective last-minute preparation.

In addition, the items to be learnt are arranged so that the difficulty level increases gradually from simple, unconjugated items to more grammatically complex ones, so it can be used to review and organize similar expressions found in the learner’s main study textbook.
